How do you complete the DVLA licence check?

Any designated drivers will require a licence check 6 weeks prior to your holiday, we use the government licence check tool to complete this.

We will require a copy of your driving licence, two proofs of address and a DVLA check code. You will be requested to supply this 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your booking.

How many miles can we travel?

All the vans have a fair usage allowance of 1000 miles per week pro-rata, i.e. 425 miles for 3 days or 2,000 miles for 2 weeks, thereafter £0.50 per mile.

Do you allow dogs, if so, how much do you charge?

Yes, we know how much your four-legged friend means to you. We allow 1-2 dogs per hire, depending on size. We charge a small fee of £50 per trip. 

Can we leave our car with you? 

We can offer parking for one vehicle free of charge per hire. The site is covered in CCTV but please note that cars are left at owners’ risk.

How old do I need to be to hire a van? 

Our insurance covers those that are aged between 25 - 75 years for Wilma and 30 - 75 years for all our other vans. You must have held a valid UK driving licence for at least two years.

How many drivers are included with the hire?

One insured driver is included with the hire. If you wish to add an additional driver to the policy then there is an additional fee of £10 per night of hire.

Are bedding and towels included?

Unfortunately we do not provide bedding or towels.

Can we take the vans abroad?

Yes, all our vans can be taken to Europe for a fee of £95 per week.

What's the difference between liability deposit and liability amount?

Liability deposit - This is a refundable deposit that must be paid by you at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the hire period. The Liability deposit will need to be paid using a credit card.

Liability amount - This is the total sum of £2,000 that you may be liable to pay per event/incident as per section 5 of the 'Terms and Conditions'.  


What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations by you must be made in writing, and are charged as follows:

  • 6+ weeks prior to your holiday you will forfeit the 20% booking deposit unless the van you hired can be re-hired in which case you will get your deposit refunded to you minus a £15 cancellation fee.
  • 4-6 weeks prior to your holiday you will receive 70% refund of your total hire cost unless the van you hired can be re-hired in which case you will get a full refund minus a £15 cancellation fee.
  • 2-4 weeks prior to your holiday you will receive 35% refund of your total hire cost unless the van you hired can be re-hired in which case you will get a full refund minus a £15 cancellation fee.
  • 0-2 weeks prior to your holiday you will not get any refund of your booking fee unless the van you hired can be re-hired in which case you will get a full refund minus a £15 cancellation fee.

*No refunds will honoured if, upon inspection of named drivers' licences, they are found to be invalid or do not comply with the information given to conduct the DVLA licence check.*


When do we get our liability deposit back?

We aim to get your liability deposit back to you as soon as possible. However, in an event where damage has occurred it may take up to 21 working days while a quote for the damage to be rectified is obtained.  

What happens if we get a speeding fine or parking ticket?

You will be charged for any fines or infringements incurred by you including any speeding fines or parking tickets. If we organise payment of these fines whilst you are on your holiday a £30 administrative fee will be charged onto the fine or infringement.
